Three
key objectives are adopted within the Leader-Manager programme:
· To provide a sound platform for skill acquisition
· To ensure good transfer of learning to on-the-job impacting
on the bottom line
· To utilise the programme as part of an Organisation
Development Change
strategy, putting specific Leader-Manager Values in place
The Leader-Manager programme endeavours
to put in place a number of initiatives that aid the stated objectives.
These may be described as:
· The programme learning focuses on practical skill
acquisition
· Utilisation of pre-work to maximise the skill practice
time on each programme
· To undertake on-the-job Work Issues during the programme
which aids skill
transfer
· Utilise the Line Manager as Coach to create Learning
opportunities and
provide immediate feedback and encouragement
· Spacing the programme over a number of months to facilitate
learning and
practice
· Where appropriate to provide one-to-one Tutor feedback
to programme
Participants
· To strongly link the programme to specific organisation
values to meet long-
term Organisation Development requirements |
